Dian Shuai - Open Category - Versatile Musician Division - Music - Composition / Music Production - 100% - Absolute Platinum Medalist - USA
Dian Shuai is a composer and musician originally from Beijing, China, who has studied music and piano since the age of three, along with harpsichord and organ studies for several years. He has showcased his musical talents in numerous concerts and events, performing on piano, voice, and baroque keyboard instruments. Notably, at the age of 11, Dian recorded a piano album featuring Burgmüller's etudes, and also performed in a choir at the Wiener Musikverein.
Dian received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of California, Berkeley, where he focused on music composition and film scores. He continued his studies at the prestigious Eastman School of Music after graduating from UC Berkeley, where he honed his music skills in classical composition and film scoring under the tutelage of world-renowned composers Mark Watters and Jeff Beal. Dian is also a member of The Society of Composers & Lyricists. In 2023, he worked in the music team of the documentary "Eastman at 100." Recently, Dian completed an Off-Broadway-themed music show, “Dreams of Dracula,” set to premiere in New York City in October 2023.
Steven Casano - Shakuhachi (Wind) - Concert Performance Division - Platinum Medalist - USA
Steven Casano received his Bachelor’s degree in Piano from the Crane School of Music and Master’s degrees in both Ethnomusicology and Music Librarianship from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Mr. Casano is on the music faculty of the Punahou Music School in Honolulu, Hawai’i, where he teaches piano performance and music theory. Mr. Casano’s students have won top prizes and honors in both state level and international competitions. He is an MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano and a Royal Conservatory of Music Certified Teacher in both Piano and Music Theory. In 2020, Mr. Casano received the Teacher of Distinction Award from the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Mr. Casano is also a licensed teacher/performer of the Japanese shakuhachi flute. He received his Jun Shihan license from Yokoyama Katsuya and Ishikawa Toshimitsu and his Shihan (Master’s) license and the name Taizen from Grandmaster Riley Lee. Mr. Casano has released two studio recordings, "The Voice of Bamboo” and “San Kyorei-Sacred Music for Shakuhachi” and, in 2022, won the “Best Video” prize in the World Shakuhachi Festival Video Competition.
Ruichao (Rachel) Wu - Platinum Medalist - Composition - Versatile Musician Division - China
Ruichao (Rachel) Wu is a dedicated concert and film composer based in Los Angeles. Having studied at the Eastman School of Music, the Beal Institute of Contemporary Media and Film Composition, Rachel obtained her Master of Music degree.
Throughout her career, Rachel has been fortunate to be invited and have her music performed at prestigious venues such as Kilbourn Hall, Hatch Recital Hall, and the Tchaikovsky Music Hall.
In addition to her work in the concert setting, Rachel has had the privilege of scoring multiple animations, films, advertisements and theater dramas. Those works has been selected and nominated at various film festivals since 2019, such as the Venice Film Festival, Ontario International Film Festival, American Golden Picture International Film Festival, Hiroshima International Animation Festival, Monstra Lisboa International Animation Festival, Geneva International Animation Film Festival and won many awards.
Nicolette Sullivan-Cozza - Viola – Concert Performance Division – Platinum Medalist - USA
Nicolette Sullivan-Cozza began her musical journey when she was four years old. Currently studying at the New England Conservatory of Music under Kim Kashkashian, Nicolette is the recipient of a Dean's full scholarship. Before, she studied under Kerri Ryan, the Assistant Principal Violist of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Nicolette won grand/first prizes in various prestigious competitions worldwide including the VSA International Young Soloists Competition, YMIC Washington National Youth Music Competition, New York Classical Music Competition, Great Composers Global Competition and Boston International Music Competition. She also was a semi-finalist in the George Gershwin International Music Competition and a
finalist in the American Viola Society Solo Competition. Nicolette's performed in renowned concert halls across the globe, including; Carnegie Hall, the Kimmel Center, Boston’s Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, Chicago’s Symphony Center, Lincoln Center, John F. Kennedy Center, Athens Megaron Concert Hall, and CapeTown City Town Hall. She’s also been invited to perform on NPR From The Top, WRTI 90.1 FM Radio Station and performed in a Boston Symphony Orchestra’s
Prelude Concert.

Danaïl Vuagniaux - Violin (Classical) - Concert Performance Division - Platinum Medalist - France
Danaïl Vuagniaux was born on 10 December 2010 in Geneva, Switzerland. He began his music journey at age 4 with the flute learning through the Suzuki method. At age 5 he started piano and
violin lessons. Since then, he has played the violin and the piano in numerous church and charity concerts.
In 2021, after winning competitive entrance exams (violin and piano), he was admitted to the National School of Music and Dance in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. In 2022 in Geneva he won first prize in the first round of the prestigious Swiss Youth Music Competition. In the same year in Zurich, he won the third prize at the national level in the final of the same competition. In December 2022, he won first prize in the Young Musicians Competition, third prize at the International Music Competition in Paris. In July 2023, he won first prize for violin at the XIII International Competition for Young Performers of Orchestral Instruments "Dobrin Petkov” in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Danaïl loves rock climbing, reading and traveling. He hopes to get the opportunity to visit all countries of the world and connect with people from across the globe.
Julia Gentry – Piano (Classical) – Concert Performance Division – Platinum Medalist - USA
Julia Gentry of California began formal piano training at the age of three. Now, at 12 years old, Julia has performed on prestigious stages like Mozarteum – Salzburg, Carnegie Hall-New York, Disney Concert Hall-Los Angeles; has earned Platinum Award at the 2023 Global International Music Competition, First Place at the 2023 Carles and Sofia, Spain, 2023 North American Virtuoso, 2023 Grand Prize Virtuoso, Salzburg-Austria, Barcelona Spain, 2023 Golden Classical
Music Awards, Absolute First Prize at Golden Classical Music Awards 2022 and 2021 – Carnegie Hall, New York, First Place at the Canada Red Maple Competition 2022, Gold Hands Award at the Carles & Sofia, Girona, Spain 2022, First Place at the 2022 Charleston, First Prize at the Appassionato Quebec Festival 2022, Grand Prize Virtuoso 2023, 2022, 2021, Rome, Bonn, London, and Salzburg, First Place at the Carnegie Hall American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music 2023, 2021, 2020, and 2018, First prize + Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize Winner at the Salzburg, Austria, Germany, Amsterdam 2019 and Rome
competitions. Julia is currently working on learning Braille for piano so that she can teach piano to visionally impaired students.
Isabela Samson Madero - Voice - Concert Performance Division - Gold Medalist
– Philippines
Isabela Samson Madero, under the tutelage of Ms. Perpy Heath, excels in classical voice. She achieved distinction as an Associate of the Royal Schools of Music in 2019. Despite the pandemic in 2021, Isabela showcased her talent at global events, including ABRSM's Global High Scorers Concert. Noteworthy wins include Most Outstanding Senior Classical Voice Performer at the KPU International Music Festival and second place in the New York Young Performer's Prize International Competition. During the pandemic, she engaged in an Online Masterclass by opera singer Lisette Oropesa. In 2021, Isabela clinched the Most Outstanding Senior Classical Voice Performer at the VAYA Fall Festival and won Silver at the World Classical Music Awards. In 2022, she secured the third prize at the VIII ODIN International Music Online Competition and the London Classical Music Competition. She attained Gold at the World Classical Music Awards in April. Continuing her success, Isabela triumphed at the VAYA Spring Festival and Royal Sound Music Competition. She claimed the Judges Best Performance Award at the Vienna Virtuoso Festival and emerged victorious at
the Beethoven Young Musician and Tokyo International Youth Music
competitions. Notably, Isabela was selected for a performance at the Beethoven House in Bonn in December 2023 after winning the Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition. Invited twice to perform for the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Isabela aspires to join more competitions and masterclasses to refine her craft.
Xinqian Li - Guitar (Jazz) - Concert Performance Division - Gold - USA
Xinqian Li, a Chinese native living in Los Angeles, She is now a graduate student majoring studio guitar at the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. She has a strong influence on her music from traditional jazz, and she has been searching for her own unique sound. She writes a lot of traditional jazz music as well as modern jazz music for large ensemble.
Before getting into jazz guitar, she studied fingerstyle guitar playing for many years and won awards in many competitions. In 2018, she was invited to perform at the Big Apple Music Festival in New York, at Queen's University. In 2019, she performed with the Golden Jazz Big Band in Zhuhai, China, and shared the stage with many of China's top musicians. In 2021, she was invited to form a swing septet with professors from Sichuan Conservatory of Music in China to perform regularly in Chengdu Riverside Jazz Club, the only professional jazz club in southwest China, and participated in the China Swing Music Festival in the same year. At the same time, she released four singles on NetEase Cloud Music, and formed her own trio, and began to tour in southwest China. In 2021-2023, she won the USC Thornton Music Scholarship for two consecutive years. In 2023, she won a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music Summer School and performed in Boston.
eJenn Huang - Piano & Violin - Concert Performance Division -Gold Medalist (Piano) / Bronze Medalist (Violin) - USA
eJenn Huang is the student of Anne Bader. She has been playing piano since the age of 3, and violin starting the age of 6. She is very passionate about the arts, as she also learns dance. In 2023, she passed her Level 9 Certificate of Merit test, hosted by MTAC, where she was accepted to play at the convention. She has achieved many achievements such as Gold at Grand Metropolitan International Music Competition 2023, Silver prize at 2023 AADGT, and her most recent one being a Gold prize in the Global International Music Competition. In the spring of 2023, she performed at Carnegie Hall, due to her Silver achievement at AADGT.
Mason Moon - Cello - Youth Category - Gold Medalist - USA
Mason is a junior in Millburn High School in New Jersey. He played viola for a year when he was in fourth grade, but switched to cello and has been playing it for 6 years. During his time as a cellist, he participated in his school’s chamber orchestra and he was a principal cellist in the school orchestra. He participated in the New Jersey North Region (as a co-principal cellist) and All-State Orchestras. He participates in other orchestral ensembles like Veritas Youth Orchestra
and Bernards Ensemble.
Outside of music, Mason volunteers at an animal shelter. He is also enthusiastic about biology and math.
Shen Shin Zhang - Piano - Youth Category - Gold Medalist - Taiwan
Shen Shin Zhang is an international high school student in the United States from Taiwan. Besides playing piano, she used to play violin for six years since she was seven years old. During this year in the USA, her school encouraged her to attend various kinds of music competitions and recitals, and her results were good, attending these events helped her gain a lot of experience and confidence. She is taking a college music theory class to learn more about music. She also volunteers at school to tutor little kids to play piano. She likes to listen to music and dance to the music in her free time.
Shengjui Du - Piano - Concert Performance Division - Silver Medalist - Taiwan
Hi, I am ShengJui, I am a high school student originally from Taiwan but study in the US. I have been learning piano for almost two years. Besides that, I also know how to play guitar and bass. In my free time, I always like to listen to music. I like rap, k-pop, and also R & B. I
can say music has already become an important part of my life.
David Zhu - Classical Guitar - Concert Performance Division - Bronze Medalist - USA
David Zhu is a 16-year-old guitarist from New Jersey, USA. He started to learn classical guitar at the age of 8. He has been studying with Mrs. Tali Roth at the Juilliard School Precollege since 2020. He also studied with Mr. Mark Delpriora at the Precollege of Manhattan School of Music during 2018–20. His solo guitar performance was filmed by the Newark School of the Arts in a documentary celebrating the school’s 50th anniversary. He recently played solo guitar at Carnegie Hall, New York City in the American Protege International Winners’ recitals. David won many music competitions, such as the first prize in the 2022 IMKA International Music and Dance Competition. His academic record is excellent. David was honored as the 2021 salutatorian of his middle school and gave the opening speech at the graduation ceremony. Now he is studying at Dr. Ronald E. McNair Academic High School, the best public school in Jersey City. In addition to music, he enjoys theater and card games.
Cheng-Shiun Li - Composition - Versatile Musician Division - Silver Medalist - Taiwan
Cheng-Shiun Li lives in Taoyuan, Taiwan, in Asia. He was deeply attracted by the performance of the school's Chinese Orchestra since the sixth grade of elementary school. He hoped to learn an instrument and become a member of a band. In middle school, he joined the school's wind music club and learned the flute; in high school,
he joined the wind band and chorus, and continued to play flute, piccolo and tenor. He was baptized in high school and became a Christian. He was taught the basic piano playing method by church brothers. When he was in college, he often played the piano in the church.
When he was a soldier, he participated in the army military band, served as a piccolo player, and participated in the performance of the National Day Music Team that year. Now I work as a guard duty service in a junior high school. I usually write lyrics and music.
Because I am interested in music, I also play the flute occasionally. I hope my music can have a good impact on the world.
